Kevin Wilson - Co-Head of Production \\ Partner
Kevin Wilson is Co-Head of Production at Hone. A producer with true integrated experience – his unique career path has included producing for large global agencies, boutique creative powerhouses and a Head of Production/EP role for production company specializing in documentaries and long form content. Often challenged with producing non-traditional projects, his integrated experience and creative approach to producing has often been awarded and recognized in the creative community.
His career began at FOX 13/WHBQ in Memphis, TN, where he worked his way up from prompter to promotions producer. Along the way, he booked exclusive interviews with U2, Lenny Kravitz and Woody Harrelson. Following TV news, he moved to Atlanta to work in advertising at WestWayne, as an Art Buyer. After a year of learning the print producing side of the business, Kevin was promoted to the broadcast production department, producing work for NAPA and Saks Fifth Avenue.
He continued his production career at Austin Kelley Advertising, producing work for Georgia Lottery, Papa Johns, QuikTrip and Honey Baked Ham.
Soon, NYC came calling and Kevin moved to work for JWT, producing work for the AdCouncil, Diageo/Smirnoff, Domino’s, Estee Lauder, Kimberly-Clark (Scott Tissue), Pfizer (Listerine, Listerine Whitening, Neosporin, Efferdent), and Unilever (Vaseline). The Listerine Whitening launch work was the most successful in Pfizer’s history, shattering projections by 35%.
Following JWT, he moved closer to Times Square to join BBDO, running production for Pizza Hut. He was soon named a VP, producing award winning work for Guinness, as well as, Red Stripe, Dodge, Lowe’s and Arby’s. He was Executive Producer on the Cannes and One-Show winning “Fix-In-Six” Vine series.
As the industry continued to shift and the need for fully integrated producers was beginning to develop, Kevin left the agency-side and joined a small production company, TackleBox Films, in Nashville, TN. He was their first Head of Production, focusing on content production in all forms. Responsible for producing work ranging from long form documentaries (“The Believer:Steve Spurrier”), to shorter form content series (“AT&T Audience w/ Kelsea Ballerini”), with some music videos (Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean) in between. Notable for the production company was the content series for AT&T, “My Opry Debut”, showcasing first-ever performances at the Grand Ole Opry for up and coming stars, like Mickey Guyton and Sam Hunt.
He would continue his integrated experience back on the agency side as Head of Production at The &Partnership in NY, working with brands like Wall Street Journal, The Whitney Museum, Chico’s and Captain D’s. Kevin had the opportunity to produce and oversee several experiential projects, such as bringing the first Freight Farm to Manhattan for WSJ’s Future of Everything Festival.
In January of 2020, Kevin decided to move back South, to Atlanta as Head of Production for Chemistry, and spearhead their internal production arm, Test Tube Productions. He worked with Atlanta United, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, CG Insurance, Netflix, Square, Big Facts Small Acts, PetSafe.
